The photo above is of Kraig Varner’s Sculpture “Interlude” as it enters the first stages of the patina process. I have been asked many times what type of paints we use to color the bronze. Paint can be used, but normally we use natural patinas.  Patinas are done by exposing the bronze to heat and chemicals that react too and oxidize the bronze. We have quite a number of chemicals that we use to create just about any color you can think of.
