Mark Twain Clay

Posted by | 6 comments

I just finished the Mark Twain bust in clay.  It is in the mold making department receiving its first coats of silicon rubber.  The photo was taken a few days ago when the clay was about 75 % completed. I will be sure to post a completed bronze photo in the next few weeks.

  1. Looks awesome!

  2. very, very impressive. raw talent and patience.

  3. Scott, This is one of my favorite pieces that you have done. You have captured the realism of Mark Twain in his facial expression, hair, and clothes. Can’t wait to see what you do next!

  4. I myself created a bust of Mark Twain in 1980. Then did not make the mold until this summer; as had to work full time and also became a grandmother multiple times. Now that I am retired, was planning to cast him in goldstone. What size is yours?

    Yours looks terrifc!
